Hammad Ali

Director of Education

Hammad first became involved with the Institute of Muslim Mental Health in 2014, when he gave a presentation on Waterpipe Smoking among African American Muslims at the Annual Muslim Mental Health Conference. He then served as Master of Ceremonies for the Conference in 2015 and 2016. Hammad holds a B.S in Psychology and a Masters in Medical Sciences from Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Hammad is currently a medical student and has completed his first two years at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Additionally, Hammad is the CEO and Founder of Ally Learning, an organization partnered with the State of Michigan seeking to reach the educational goals of foster and adopted youth in the Metro Detroit area. Hammad’s innate desire for education and mental health advocacy, particularly on marginalized populations, has propelled his research endeavors and career objectives.
