Diba Ataie has earned a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and is working towards licensure. She has spent the last five years working as a clinician in diverse settings such as: school counseling, clinical setting, and in-home intensive therapeutic services. She has worked as a lead facilitator for an international parent-teen relationship development program for the last five years. She strongly believes in advocating on behalf of her clients and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Human Rights Education to continue to support and understand her clients in a holistic manner (especially when dealing with violence and trauma cases).
The theoretical framework that best fits her therapeutic modality includes a fusion of: CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy as well as Narratiive Therapy practices (among others). She has experience in working with mandated clients and has worked with families, youth, and women. Her current language capacity includes: Farsi, English, Spanish and German.
